At the moment, my practice is entirely virtual. I use Zoom Workplace for Healthcare Professionals as my telehealth platform, which is secure and HIPPA compliant. You’ll receive a unique Zoom link at the start of therapy which you can use each time we meet.

Most insurance companies offer some reimbursement for therapy, even if the therapist is out-of-network. After our sessions, I can give you a document called a Superbill, which you can send to your insurance company to request reimbursement.
If you are interested in this option, you can call your insurance company and ask what they reimburse for out-of-network therapy.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about this!

Yes, I am LGBTQ+ affirming and am here to support you as an individual, couple, or family.

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll share a bit about myself, gather background information, and explore your goals for therapy. While this session may feel more conversational than “therapeutic,” it’s a key part of the process. Just as a doctor needs to understand your symptoms before making a diagnosis, I need context about your past and present to know how to best support you.

All clients are set up in my Electronic Health Record system, where you can privately and securely enter your credit card info.

It depends on your needs, goals, and my availability. I usually recommend starting with weekly sessions to build momentum, and over time, many clients move to biweekly or monthly sessions. We’ll figure out what works best for you!
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
As of January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act gives clients the right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected charges for non-emergency healthcare services, including mental health therapy. If you are uninsured or choose to self-pay, you are entitled to a written estimate of your costs, which will outline expected fees for services such as weekly sessions. You may request this estimate before starting therapy or at any time during care.
If your bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. You may first discuss the difference with me, and if unresolved, you can begin a formal dispute process through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Please note that a Good Faith Estimate is not a contract; it simply represents expected costs based on the information available at the time.
